Started last July 17, 2020, Joshua Mendoza Productions II is a YouTube channel that creates and posts lyric videos of songs, popular or obscure, for entertainment purposes.
The current series, Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Videos, is still going strong after 2 years.
Here's some history (more of a flex). It all started when I posted the first Octopath Traveler related video back in August of 2020. However, that series only produced 3 videos, and it didn't get any attention. I tried it with The Legend of Zelda, which I planned to make only 3 videos as an anticipation for the release of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity at that time. It wasn't successful either. I also planned on making Fire Emblem Themed Lyric Videos, but it was too late.
I also posted some of my old videos I created back in 2019-2020, with varying degrees of success. The most successful video I posted is the In The Navy lyric video, which contributed to the channel's early success. It was followed by the Come On Eileen lyric video, which initially got blocked, but it became the most viewed video, surpassing In The Navy and my newer videos (until 3 months ago). Unfortunately, it got deprecated since none of my old videos were worth it to post anymore.
The current series, Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Videos, was started last October 22, 2020, after I got obsessed with the game after seeing it while I was browsing YouTube during its Version 1.0 release.

| My first Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Video. |
It led to a creation of the video, I Surrender, using the only available media I found on the Internet. The video and thumbnail format were based on the previous works I created. Here's what it looked like:
| This video reuses a lot of media, since I only have a handful of usable media on hand at the time. This practice lasted until the Sana Ngayong Pasko lyric video. |
The first few videos didn't get much attention, until I posted the videos Rosas Pandan and Tamang Pag-Ibig, Maling Panahon.
-----
The 40th Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Video, Rosas Pandan, was created since I can't find any lyric video for the Pilita Corrales (Tagalog Version) version at the time. It was a success, reaching 1,000 views in less than 8 days since it was last published on my YouTube channel back in January 21, 2021. I actually reached 100 subscribers because of that video.
Another notable one is the 51st Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Video, Tamang Pag-ibig, Maling Panahon, which I made despite another lyric video was already uploaded the previous day. It was a huge success, after it got suggested by YouTube in a viral spoken word poetry video. The success of this video (along with the other video) led to the song getting popularized on YouTube.
The success of these 2 lyric videos resulted to more of my videos getting discovered. As a result, the entire Season 1 of Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Videos became the most successful series on this channel. It includes Iyugyog Mo, Pwede Ba, and Si Felimon (Tagalog, Version 1).
Both seasons have easy to read text within the lyric video itself, along with a more refined media selection.
Most popular video I created during the second season of Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Videos:
The 128th Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Video, Anghang, was created since no one attempted to make a lyric video of this parody song since its release back in 2006. I also make sure to have the correct song information before publishing, as it was the case with this one (wrongly credited as a Michael V. and Ara Mina song)
Most popular video I created during the third season of Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Videos:
The 161st Genshin Impact Themed Lyric Video, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. was created due to Scaramouche hype. This was actually an overhaul of an old lyric video I uploaded previously. I created this video 2 days before the redesigned version of Scaramouche was unveiled. (originally, this video featured Raiden Shogun as the featured character in the thumbnail)
That's it, really.
